Our annual Women’s Networking Event is back again to support The Perfect Fit for Working Women on Thursday, August 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Club at Twin Lakes in Allentown.
The Perfect Fit for Working Women, a program of the YWCA Allentown, is dedicated to empowering women entering the workforce by providing career clothing and job readiness skills training. Attendees of the networking event are encouraged to bring donations from The Perfect Fit’s following list of requested items:
-Purses
-Jewlery
-Brand new underwear & socks
-Brand new personal care products
-Brand new makeup
-Gently-used bras sizes A through C
-Jeans sizes 00 to 8
-Gently-worn sneakers
In addition to accepting donations and sharing their mission, The Perfect Fit for Working Women’s resale boutique will have a pop-up shop at the event where guests can purchase like-new clothing and accessories at rock-bottom prices with all proceeds going towards The Perfect Fit.
While supporting The Perfect Fit for Working Women is the main initiative behind the Women’s Networking Event, we have plenty more in store for the evening. Let us share with you all the fun things we have planned for this year’s event.
Pre-Event Panel Discussion
For those interested in a fun and engaging add-on experience, we suggest purchasing a $15 ticket to attend the pre-event “Female Founders: Shattering the Glass Ceiling” panel discussion that runs from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Julie Knight of Janney Montgomery Scott will be moderating the session featuring Jessica Young of Bubble and Nicole Hantas-Emanuel of 21 Seeds Tequila. The panelists will discuss how they’ve founded their respective companies and will give insight to those in the audience on how they’ve tackled funding, adversity, and balance as female founders. Limited seating is available, so purchase your tickets while you can.
Champagne Welcome
The Backyard Bar Company will greet guests with a champagne welcome at the entrance of the event served from their completely renovated and decked-out horse trailer, so be sure to grab a glass upon arrival.
Swag Bags
This year’s swag bags are sponsored by Junior League of the Lehigh Valley and are filled with lots of local goods from RMA Lehigh Valley, Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Julie Knight and so many more. Make sure you say hi to the ladies of the league upon arrival and check out information on their upcoming fall recruitment dates.
Photo Opportunities
It wouldn’t be a Lehigh Valley Style event without a few photo opps, so get grab your girls and plan those outfits! You’ll find photo opps from Members 1st Federal Credit Union, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Audi Allentown and a fun photo experience from Lavish Haus. You may even see some balloons from Blueprint Creations in the mix. Remember to tag us @lvstylemag and #lvswomen when you post!
Tequila Tastings & Bottle Signing
21 Seeds Tequila will be on-site offering tequila tastings and swag giveaways. Fine Wine and Good Spirits will also be popping up an on-site store for all attendees to be able to purchase full-size bottles of 21 Seeds Tequila. As an extra special experience for bottle purchasers, Nicole Hantas-Emanuel will be available for a meet and greet, bottle signing and photo opp (and maybe even a dance party!)

And don’t miss the DIY terrarium bar with Sterner’s Stems.
Light Bites
As if all of the above wasn’t enough to enjoy, The Club at Twin Lakes has a delicious menu of hors d’oeuvres on deck (hello truffle burgers and charcuterie board) along with women’s empowerment cookies provided by Sugar Mere. If your sweet tooth isn’t satisfied quite yet, make sure to grab a custom chocolate bar provided by Audi Allentown.
