Tell us a little bit about your background and what initially inspired you to open Gift Box Floral & Garden.
I’ve always enjoyed being creative and crafting—especially creating finished products and seeing the look of happiness on others as they receive them. I wanted to create a space where anyone could do the same. Gift Box gives our customers many opportunities to get creative.
Describe the variety of floral and plant offerings that you carry.
We have a great selection of everyday flowers, ranging from roses and carnations to wild flowers and potted plants. As we know, houseplants are the “in” thing at the moment, and so we try to carry plants for those new to the hobby as well as seasoned gardeners.
Tell us about your flower bar!
Our flower bar is something unique. Customers can choose their own stems and vase or container and we will arrange it for them. We are an everyday florist, too, and make everything from hand-tied bouquets to custom wedding and funeral work. Our florists love when customers give them the freedom to get creative and build arrangements.

Tell us about your flower subscription options.
Flowers are a great addition to liven up any room. We have subscriptions for all budgets to bring that little bit of color to your space. Subscriptions range from weekly to quarterly and are the easiest way to constantly have that spark of joy. As for the plant subscription, we can work with customers to choose what type of plant they want in their space and send a fitting one or arrangement.
Some might be surprised to learn about the unique non-plant-related items that you also offer. Tell us about those!
We have lots of home and garden décor at affordable prices. We also carry a variety of foods, such as beef jerky, local honey, tea, jams, cookies and more, and we have a great selection of rest-and-relax items, such as soaps, loofahs and candles. We have found through this past year with COVID that self-care is extremely important.

Is there one item that just continually flies off the shelf?
Plants. We have become known for our houseplants. Ninety percent of what we offer is from local greenhouses. So, when purchasing from us it is essentially local supporting local.
What do you love about being based in Easton?
I am originally from the Slate Belt. I love a good community-based local business. The town of Easton has opened its arms to us from day one. It was snowing on our opening day and we still had such a great turnout. I’ll be forever grateful that we have planted a seed in Easton and the community has nurtured it and watched us grow year after year.
What trends or offerings are you looking forward to this summer?
Outside gardening. We are also a garden center in the spring to fall. We sell everything from bedding flowers, vegetable plants, herbs, hanging baskets and more. We love this season because our customers do as well. The trend of gardening and owning houseplants has helped lots of people gain green thumbs!
