Mayfair Festival of the Arts is the signature event of Mayfair, Inc., nonprofit organization based out of Allentown that has been providing the Lehigh Valley with beautiful works of art and performances that first began in 1987.
No matter what your favorite art form is, Mayfair has something for you—showcasing the works of painters, dancers, photographers, musicians, comedians, culinarians, actors and more. Mayfair also offers a KidSpace for families. Kids and families can enjoy a hands-on approach to learning about the arts with art educators. The interactive theater space also gets kids involved with a full range of performances.
Mayfair Festival aims to bring new art forms to the community, as well as, easier access to preexisting art forms. Concession vendors provide gourmet delights for your pleasure as well as simple, fun fair foods to satisfy your every craving while you shop the stands for goodies in the form of paintings, glass and sculptures at varying prices.
This year's Mayfair is filled with even more wonderful artists and events. Thanks to last year's relocation to an event center with indoor and outdoor spaces, Mayfair is able to accommodate more artists and help protect their work from wind, heat or rain. This has enabled artists from all across the country to come and exhibit and sell their works at Mayfair.
This year, Godfrey Daniels will be at Mayfair with an All-Star Folk band assembled for one night only and PA Jazz Collective will have an All Star Septet for one night, as well, featuring jazz greats from all across Pennsylvania. There will also be a night of international music featuring a Persian Folk musician, Iranian guitar player Behdad Moghaddasi.
