6 Local Spots to Get Scared this Halloweekend

What is Halloween without a little spookiness? Celebrate the scariest weekend of the year at one of these local haunts.

Night Zip & Climb

On Friday and Saturday, Blue Mountain Resort is hosting a “Halloween Fright Time” event at its Adventure Park. The night will be filled with spooky music and sound effects, festive treats and decorations, and three full hours on the ropes course and ziplines. Tickets are $49 online or $55 at the window. The fun runs from 6–9 p.m. both nights. Come dressed in your Halloweekend best!

Haunted Carwash

Looking for some Halloween fun that also checks some errands off the list? Sparkle Car Wash in Easton is hosting nightly haunted car washes from 6 to 9 p.m. through the 31st. With the purchase of any wash package, participants can drive through the haunted tunnel and grab a Halloween goodie bag, which will also include a $2 coupon to be used at a future car wash.

Kaisers' House of Horror

Kaisers' House of Horror in Bethlehem is a sight to be seen, and has been scaring passersby since 2002. The lawn is decked out and equipped with more than 300 skeletons, featuring items inspired by favorite horror movies. The display is lit nightly from 7–9 p.m. and will stay up until November 1. Mystery and History Tour

Interested in learning about the haunting history of Moravian Bethlehem? The Mystery and History tour allows participants to explore the ghostly city at twilight with a costumed tour guide who will cover anything from unsolved murders to ghostly sightings. These walking tours are available Thursday through Sunday at 5 p.m. during the month of October. Click here for tickets.

Nightmare on Kemmerer Street

The Nightmare on Kemmerer Street is back for a second year of spookiness! Experience the story behind the spirits haunting Jack and Klara's home at 2037 Kemmerer Street in Bethlehem. Walkthrough tours are taking place Friday and Saturday from 7–10 p.m. The haunted house is filled with 20 (temperature-checked and masked) scare-actors ready to fright. All attendees must wear masks on the premises.

Hotel of Horror

Head to the legendary Lake House Hotel in historic Saylorsburg for a fun-filled night of frights, featuring paranormal activity. Open until November 1, The Hotel of Horror has been dubbed the Pocono Mountains' premiere haunted house, with walk-through attractions open rain or shine. Tickets are available online and at the box office.
