Nkasso's Juneteenth Celebration
Celebrate Juneteenth with an unforgettable culinary experience at Nkasso on Friday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The restaurant will be debuting a new African fusion menu, highlighting mouthwatering African barbecue, which will be available every Friday and Saturday from 2–9 p.m. going forward. The unique celebration of culture, community, music and delicious food features sounds of live kora music, a historical African instrument. Allentown's Juneteenth Celebration
Allentown's Juneteenth celebration at Cedar Beach Park is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 2–8 p.m. The event is part of Allentown's weekend-long celebration and promises free all-day admission to the Cedar Beach Pool. The city's Juneteenth Block Party is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19 in Downtown Allentown from 2–8 p.m. and features vendors and entertainment.
Juneteenth LV's Juneteenth Events
Non-profit organization Juneteenth Lehigh Valley has a full lineup of events planned for the holiday. Taking place inside ArtsQuest's Univest Public Media Center from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, don't miss the music festival featuring bands, vendors and fun for children. Then, on Sunday, June 16, celebrate the Juneteenth Parade on Northampton Street in Easton, which kicks off at 3 p.m. and features Big Easy Easton Brass. On Wednesday, June 19, experience a Black history tribute to the National Negro Baseball League with the IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park at 7 p.m.
