November Project, the free fitness movement that was born in Boston and is now represented in cities all over the world, is coming to Bethlehem. John Honerkamp (New York Road Runners) and Brody Graham (World Takeover) are hosting the official Bethlehem Pop-Up Workout on Friday, October 14 at Artsquest.
The one-hour workout, starting at 6:29 a.m., is fun and suitable for all ages, speeds and workout levels. Members of November Project tribes range from Olympic medalists to couch potatoes and everyone who falls in between, so this workout is a perfect opportunity to see what November Project is all about and possibly creating a tribe of your own. Cost is free so all you need to bring is workout clothing and a blank shirt for painting.
The fun continues Friday with The Altra 3.8 mile trail run at 2 p.m., kids races at 5 p.m. and health and fitness expos throughout the day. Saturday includes the Runner's World 5K, 10K, 1-mile dog run and numerous seminars ranging from running to yoga. The fun concludes Sunday with the Runner's World Half Marathon. Use the code “NovemberProject” to sign up for all of the runs. Additionally, a free bus is offered from NYC or Philly to Bethlehem for Sunday, October 16.
A full list of all the runs and activities are available here. There is also a considerable amount of time between Friday's pop-up workout, the trail run and the 5K/10K on Saturday. John Honerkamp and Brody Graham have planned undercover, secret events in between. This could be an underground Beer Mile Friday night, a bar tour and maybe even a flashmob. The plans will be announced via Twitter and Instagram after the pop-up to get info on where to meet for the secret events.
The possibilities are endless, so get to Bethlehem to find out!
