Second Line Parade in Downtown Easton
Join Big Easy Easton Brass in bringing New Orleans' Second Line parades to Downtown Easton. On Friday, April 22, hit the streets and be part of one wild night. From 7–7:45 p.m., everyone is welcome to celebrate their very own Mardi Gras in the Valley. Whether you are walking your dog, hula hooping or breaking out the trumpet you haven't touched since high school, throw on some funky colors and get ready to have some good ol' Fat Tuesday fun, on a Friday.
Earth Day in the Park at Allentown Arts Park
Allentown Arts Park is bringing back Earth Day in the Park—a free celebration with food, music, vendors and family-friendly activities. Rain or shine, on Saturday, April 23, from noon to 4 p.m., head over to the park to enjoy and learn about the beautiful planet we get to call home.
Party for the Planet at the Zoo
In celebration of Earth Day this Friday, April 22, the Lehigh Valley Zoo is throwing a three-day Party for the Planet. Plus, on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, there will be a scavenger hunt designed to help guests learn about conservation. Those who finish the hunt will be entered to win a special prize. It is sure to be a fun-filled weekend with photos with Radley the mascot, animal exhibits and Earth Day-themed crafts, games and activities. Tickets can be purchased here.
ACE Easton Arts Tour in Downtown Easton
On Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, make your way to Downtown Easton to discover “Arts Where it Starts,” the 22nd annual Arts Community of Easton Arts tour. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., local studios, galleries and shops are inviting the community inside to shop their work and see behind the scenes of the creative process. The whole day is free, and maps can be picked up at the “ACE Tent” located at SmArtivities downtown on Centre Square.
Spring Wine Festival at Bear Creek
The snow has melted off the slopes at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie and, to officially ring in spring, wine lovers near and far are invited to the Spring Wine Festival on Sunday, April 24. From noon to 5 p.m, guests will enjoy wine and food samplings while listening to live outdoor music. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Not planning on drinking? Iron Pigs Princess Day at Coca-Cola Park
Princesses Elsa, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel are departing from their castles and heading to the ballpark to cheer on the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs this Sunday, April 24. Before the game starts, the princesses are inviting guests to a private tea party in the Diamond Room from 1–1:30 p.m. Then, during the game, keep an eye out for the royal ladies on the field and throughout the stadium. Plant-Based Junk Food in Bethlehem at Hop Hill Brewing
This Sunday, April 24, Vuture Food is bringing their delicious vegan comfort food to Hop Hill Brewing. From 2–6 p.m., feast on the famous vegan, crispy chik'n sandwich and loaded fries while sipping on some refreshing brews. The remainder of the menu will be revealed the morning of. Yoga and Brunch at The Vegan Butcher
My Wholistics and The Vegan Butcher are bringing you a morning workout like no other. Head over to The Vegan Butcher in Allentown on Wednesday, April 27, for a yoga class and brunch pairing. Come with your mat and yoga props for a 9 a.m. start time. Then at 10 a.m., get ready for a brunch prepared by chefs whose goal is to meet all of your dietary needs. Stars on Ice at the PPL Center
Some of the world's best figure skaters are skating their way to the Lehigh Valley this Thursday, April 28. The PPL Center in Allentown is presenting Stars on Ice. You will not want to miss this show, featuring World Champion Nathan Chan, and U.S. Champions Alysa Liu, Jason Brown and many more stars on the rink. Cooking Class with Jenny and Friends at Jay's Local
Prepare for a night of tasting awesome food while learning something new because Jay's Local in Allentown is hosting a cooking class on Thursday, April 28. For $50, guests will learn from Jenny Kuali and guest chef Laura Domic, about Serbian and Malaysian cuisine. Class begins at 6 p.m. and tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
