Meet the Natives Night Hike
Join Northern Lehigh Recreation for a Night Hike on Thursday, September 9 at 6 p.m. Taking place on the D&L's Slatington Trailhead, participants will have the opportunity to meet some of the Wildlands Conservancy's native wildlife, ranging from reptiles and amphibians to skunks and hawks. The event is free to attend!
Whiskey Tasting at McCarthy's
Enjoy a private whiskey tasting in the Great Room at McCarthy's Red Stag Pub & Whiskey Bar on Thursday, September 9. Led by the restaurant's whisky ambassadors and staff, the All You Can Peat Whiskey Tasting event features smoky and peaty whiskies paired perfectly with small bites to the contrast the whiskey profiles. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here. The tasting begins at 7 p.m.
PROUD in SILK
Enjoy an evening of drag, DJs and dance at this bi-weekly celebration taking place this Thursday, September 9 at Fegley's Allentown Brew Works' SILK Lounge. The fun kicks off with karaoke from 6–9:30 p.m. and continues with a dance party until 2 a.m. SILK bar service will continue all night, with late night fare served until midnight, and the full food menu available until 10 p.m. There is an $8 cover after 9 p.m., or a $10 cover that includes four raffle tickets.
Wags, Whiskers & Wine at Black River Farms
Black River Farms Vineyard and Winery will host its second annual Wags, Whiskers and Wine event on Sunday, September 12 from noon to 4 p.m. With the purchase of a $25 ticket (available here), guests will enjoy a flight or glass of wine, a food item from the provided feast, live entertainment and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Center for Animal Health & Welfare.
Holistic Wellness & Craft Fair
Taking place at Holistic Awakenings in Catasauqua, the fair promises connection, healing, crafts and more. A variety of wellness practitioners, healers and craft vendors will be on site showcasing their unique services and products. Attendees can also try activities like yoga, meditation and salsa dancing throughout the day. The event will run from 1–5 p.m. on Sunday, September 12.
Boss Babes Empowerment Brunch at ZEST
Join Strong Beauty Boss for an empowerment brunch at ZEST Bar + Grille this Sunday, September 12 from 1–3 p.m. The event promises networking and guest speakers. Tickets are $40 and include brunch, mimosas and a swag bag.
SCORE Virtual Summit
Beginning Monday, September 13, celebrate National Small Business Week with SCORE Lehigh Valley through their virtual summit. The multi-day event promises webinars, resources, networking chat rooms and more geared toward business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Apple Picking at the Farm
Starting Wednesday, September 15, Rodale Institute's apple picking will be open to the public! Pick-your-own hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scour the orchards for your own organic apples and then visit their sunflower and zinnia plots to create a beautiful bouquet (or to snap some photos!). Apple picking opportunities will continue until there are no more apples on the trees or they close down the orchards to press cider with the remaining fruit.
