Organic Apple Picking at Rodale
Head to Rodale Institute in Kutztown to pick your own organic apples from their sprawling orchards. This will be available through mid-October (or until there are no more apples left on the trees). Pick-your-own hours are Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Apples are $3 per pound, $40 per half bushel or $70 per bushel.
Pumpkin Succulents with Sterner's Stems at Bell Hall
Bell Hall will host Sterner's Stems for a pumpkin succulent workshop on Saturday, October 1, with timeslots available from from noon to 3 p.m. The cost to attend is $30 and includes a glass of wine or beer.
Fall Fest at Covered Bridge Park
Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and South Whitehall Township will host their annual fall fest on Saturday, October 1 at Allentown's Covered Bridge Park. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy live music, craft and food vendors, kids' activities and more.
Holistic Wellness & Craft Fair in Catasauqua
Holistic Awakenings Center is hosting a day filled with connection, healing, crafts and more on Saturday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free to attend and promises vendors offering mini sessions as well as craft vendors with offerings for purchase.
Easton Garlic Fest
Eat, drink and stink at Easton Garic Fest, taking place on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy tasting events, culinary cook-offs, live music and more. Admission is free!
Dreamland Oktoberfest at McCoole's
McCoole's Red Lion Inn celebrates its second annual Dreamland Oktoberfest & Vintage German Auto Show on Sunday, October 2. The outdoor event runs from noon to 8 p.m. The cost to attend is $25, which incudes your first beer and a commemorative stein. Traditional Oktoberfest cuisine like sausages, pretzels, sauerkraut, potato salad, spätzle and more will be available for purchase.
Mad Hatter Tea Party Whiskey Tasting at McCarthy's
On Thursday, October 6, join McCarthy's Red Stag Pub & Whiskey Bar for a Mad Hatter Tea Party Whiskey Tasting event, featuring Tea Jameson infusions paired perfectly with desserts. The fun begins at 7 p.m., with tickets available for $60.
