Megan Alston and Lawrence Faucett met in the same degree program at college. Lawrence plotted his proposal for a vacation to Hawaii in 2019. The couple stopped for a picnic during a horseback tour of the mountains, and Lawrence pretended to be photographing Megan admiring the vista only to surprise her on one knee.
Their wedding day fell on an unseasonably cold Memorial Day weekend, sending the planned outdoor ceremony inside, but smooth adaptation to the weather set them off on a beautiful, even relaxing day. From perfect pampering to a memorable first look, they savored every moment of the event they had planned so well. Their ceremony included personally written vows and a mid-ceremony belly laugh when Lawrence said "I do" too soon. The couple danced to Lauryn Hill's cover of "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You,” ready to celebrate life's highs and endure the lows together.
