The Proposal
During their sophomore year of college, Rachel Cattell and Mark Panko met at a small party and then a double date where they immediately hit it off. At a family vacation in the Outer Banks, Rachel’s cousins staged a little dawn fishing outing at the waterside and then hid in the dunes to capture the surprise of Mark’s sunrise proposal.
The Big Day
Their wedding married a garden party feel with an Italian theme, decking out the beautiful Weyhill Guest House at Saucon Valley Country Club with steel blue, hints of lemons and accents of pearls. Guests feasted on pasta, meat and fish served with focaccia, and were treated to a gelato station with the couple’s favorite flavors and espresso martinis to fuel the night. Mark’s Pittsburgh ties came through in the form of a cookie table laden with over 1,200 cookies generously baked by talented guests. An arching sailcloth tent formed the perfect venue for hours of dancing.
