The Proposal
Shelbie Pletz and Erich Bemis first met over a decade ago at Northampton Community College. Their engagement took place on a June day in the Poconos as they hiked among the waterfalls and boulder fields of Hickory Run State Park.
The Big Day
With the majority of their wedding guests coming from out of town, Shelbie and Erich chose to host a destination wedding at The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle. Over the course of a whole weekend they celebrated with their closest family and friends, surrounded by Appalachian mountains and a stunning lake. They transformed a venue full of rustic charm with decor inspired by a woodland fairy tale, and a bit of rain during the ceremony couldn’t dampen their spirits. The reception menu was a love letter to Pennsylvania, including a pierogi bar and hand-crafted cheesesteaks, and each night ended with a bonfire and s'mores overlooking the lake.
