With help from Ben Franklin Technology Partners and Southside Bethlehem KIZ, the creators of UBMe have released a new product called Curbside Communication. UBMe calls the product the first of its kind and says it is intended to help businesses manage customers as they arrive, safely engage and complete transactions amidst social distancing regulations.
UBMe (United by Meaningful Experiences) is a technology company that was founded in 2016. In May 2019, Val Arzunian told Style, “It’s an app that lets you see what’s happening around you, and connect with the people who are out there.”
With Curbside Communication in the UBMe app, patrons can check in from their cars when they arrive at a business, see the business’s updates and message the staff. Staff members can communicate with the customer to provide real-time updates, collect forms, ask for direct feedback and complete transactions.
“This is by far the most difficult time in history for local businesses and we sincerely hope this new product helps businesses keep their employees and customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Arzunian says.
The app is free for all users, but there is a monthly fee for businesses to use its services. Businesses that sign up by July 31 will receive a one-month free trial. After the trial, it costs $35 per month. Sign-ups come with access to the Curbside Communication Dashboard and a Starter Kit.
With UBMe, users can also connect with other people in the area, read reviews, find events, get access to exclusive deals and more. Interested users can visit the UBMe website for more information.
