Stella Brown knows what it’s like to be at the top level of physical fitness—she’s the daughter of a boxer/bodybuilder and a model who pushed her to aim for perfection in pageants, dance, karate and other pursuits. She also knows what it’s like to be at the bottom; Brown says her body was so depleted by the age of 19 that she was told she’d never be physically active again. “I wasn’t having that,” she says. That’s when she took charge of her own destiny. Brown has been a professional trainer for 10 years and is the owner of Stella Fitness in Easton, where she promotes healthy eating and movement habits. “I tell [clients], always one bite or one step at a time.”
