Travis Lindenmoyer of Lehighton started the Facebook group last year at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyday life was altered in dramatic fashion. “It kind of felt like end-of-the-world-type stuff,” he recalls. The current group, which had more than 42,000 members as of early May, is actually the second version of his online vision. It's meant to be a safe, drama-free zone where online friendships can be forged even during a time of isolation, but it's made the leap into the “real world,” too. As COVID case counts declined, the group held in-person events, and plans to keep the good times rolling even after all pandemic-related restrictions are lifted. “I like to make people laugh,” Lindenmoyer says. “I like to entertain people.”
