Alison Conklin
Best Photographer
Alison Conklin has been a full-time photographer for nearly two decades and has shot weddings for even longer than that, so she understands how important the big moments can be. But she’s in it for the little moments, too. Her parents were both hobbyist photographers; the family photos they accumulated took on even more significance after her mother died when Conklin was 14 years old. “Looking at those images of my mom laughing with her eyes closed, cooking in the kitchen and laughing with friends showed me who she was,” Conklin says. Her favorite thing to shoot, she says, is anything that will be cherished for a lifetime. And she considers herself lucky to have her husband, Geoff, who’s also a professional photographer, at her side as her business partner.

Brad Scott
Best Party DJ
You might not know his face, but you’ve probably heard his beats. Brad Scott is the guy wearing the headphones and getting the crowd moving at many of the Lehigh Valley’s premier dance parties and social events. Although he originally moved to the area to run a record store, he’s been DJ-ing professionally for eight years. “Most of my events are LGBTQIA, but they are always inclusive, which makes them so popular,” Scott says. Look for him in September at the Easton Tea Dance at Two Rivers Brewing Company. “Expect a huge party with drag queens, go-go boys and nonstop dancing!” says Scott.
