Celebrate National Macaroni & Cheese Day on Sunday, July 14 with one of these local offerings. Valley restaurants are putting their own special spins on this classic comfort food, incorporating the dish into some of their most popular and unique recipes. Tell us which one you try by tagging @lvstylemag on Instagram when you go!

Lump Crab Macaroni & Cheese
Apollo Grill
Apollo Grill's lump crab macaroni and cheese is a popular order of the Bethlehem restaurant's menu—and for good reason. It's made with both Boursin and Parmesan cheese. Chef Alice Schneck recommends enjoying the dish with their Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay, which she says compliments the dish's creaminess. Want to make it at home? Snag the recipe here!
Plant-Based Mac & Cheese
VegOut
Even vegetarians can stray from the traditional macaroni and cheese recipe at VegOut, where they've got six different variations on the menu. Their offerings include a classic mac and cheese, a Big Mac and cheese, buffalo mac and cheese, taco mac and cheese, loaded mac and cheese and jalapeño ranch mac and cheese. Mac & Cheese Chicken & Waffles
SURV
Looking for a unique twist on your average macaroni and cheese? SURV has you covered! Their Mac & Cheese Chicken & Waffles features a waffle made from macaroni and cheese. Described as the ultimate comfort food, the dish features breaded chicken breast, maple aioli and house-made bread and butter pickles, all topped with SURV's own hot honey sauce. Don't take our word for it though; the fact that the restaurant sells more than 300 of these babies a month speaks for itself. Executive Chef Timothy Widrick recommends enjoying the dish with a chilled glass of their Chimay Cinq Cents beer or a buttery Carmenet Chardonnay, and, for the kids, chocolate milk.
Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese
Hotel B
Consider this the fanciest macaroni and cheese you'll ever eat! Historic Hotel Bethlehem's Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese consists of, you guessed it, Maine lobster, as well as Cooper, Sharp, American, Mascarpone and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses. Available on their Tap Room and 1741 on the Terrace dinner menus for $39, guests can order the dish without lobster for $20—but who would want to do that? Read more about dining at Hotel B here.

MCPPBC
Hops
Another twist on the classic macaroni and cheese is Hops' MCPPBC, which is a mouthful in more ways than one. The acronym stands for macaroni and cheese, pulled pork, bacon grilled cheese, which means all of these favorites are packed onto a loaded handheld sandwich. Co-owner Scott Hoppy says guests consider the dish “somewhat obnoxious but hard to resist.” We can see why.
Shareable Macaroni & Cheese
Three OAK Steakhouse
We'd be remiss if we didn't include the reader-voted 2024 Best Mac & Cheese winner on this list! Locals love Three OAK Steakhouse's lobster macaroni & cheese, which is available on the “sides to share” portion of the restaurant's menu. Enjoy the dish alongside one of their signature steaks. Read more about the dining experience here!

Breakfast Mac & Cheese
The People's Kitchen
That's right, you can order macaroni and cheese for breakfast at The People's Kitchen in Bethlehem. The dish is served in a skillet with potato base that's topped with macaroni, hickory-smoked bacon and maple sausage. Add an egg for $1.
