International Women's Day Celebration
The Curious Plantaholic
Join The Curious Plantaholic in Nazareth on Saturday, March 9 for an International Women's Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year, the shop has partnered with Bloom, a nonprofit offering sanctuary and a continuum of care to heal, empower and employ women survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. (Learn more from their CEO, Carol Andersen, featured here.) Bloom will be accepting monetary donations as well as clothing and accessories during the event. Furthermore, all women who shop will receive a special discount—and those who donate (and/or wear pearls) will receive an extra discount. Additional vendors will be on-site throughout the day and free T-shirts will be available while supplies last.
International Women Exhibit
Nazareth Center for the Arts
Nazareth Center for the Arts is showcasing portraits of women from around the globe in a diverse set of mediums through its International Women exhibit for Women's History Month. The exhibit features the fine art of Marie Jeanne Habba, Monika Stefany and Judy Holland. These three Lehigh Valley-residing artists bring their unique life experiences to the portraits they create while being inspired by the lived experiences of women around the world. The opening reception will take place on Friday, March 8 (International Women's Day) from 6–8 p.m. The exhibit will run through Sunday, March 31.
Rising Together
Lehigh University
Join Rising Together on Saturday, March 16 for an event that celebrates diverse female voices and values during an exploration of AI. Amresse Farrow will emcee the event taking place inside Lehigh University's Fairchild-Martindale Library and Computing Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register here for free!
Women of Wine
Kabinett Wine Bar
In honor of Women's History Month, Kabinett Wine Bar in Easton is hosting a Women of Wine-themed dinner, showcasing a range of varietals from old and new world countries across the globe. Their dinner on Thursday, March 28 is already sold out, but you can make reservations for the one on Wednesday, March 27, taking place at 6:45 p.m. The evening will be hosted and led by the women of Kabinett, whose specially designed courses and guided tasting will complement what's in the glass.
