Local Trails
There are plenty of great trails with great views around the Valley. Grab a friend and take advantage of the extra daylight by hiking or walking a local trail. We’ve listed a few shorter trails, but you can find more here.
Hawk Mountain
Bring a pair of binoculars or rent a pair from the visitor center. The trail fee is $9 for adults or $5 for children and benefits the nonprofit Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association. The visitor center is open from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., but all trails are open from dawn until dusk.
Trexler Nature Reserve
These trails are open from dawn until dusk, are free and vary in difficulty and length. Pick up a map from one of their kiosks near the trails or download it online from their website.
Lehigh Parkway
There are more than six miles of trails, all of which are free. It’s also home to the Museum of Indian Culture and several unique bridges.

You can’t beat a fun day out with the family or an entertaining day with little ones.
Crayola Factory
This colorful and fun crayon factory will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. all summer. And, until the end of 2017, they have a $3-off admission coupon available on their website.
Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom
Now into their summer hours, the water park may close at six, but the rest of the park is open until 10 p.m. Purchase tickets online for $39 until the June 30, with a portion of the sales benefiting Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Additionally, tickets purchased after 4 p.m. are $34 until September 4. You can thank us later.
Dutch Springs Water Park
Dutch Springs is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. for the rest of June, but the hours will change come July. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children under the age of ten. Scuba diving is also offered throughout the summer for adults and children. Keep in mind that prices and times will vary.

Ice cream is the perfect way to cool down, and thankfully there are plenty of great frozen treats in the Valley. We won’t judge if you choose to visit more than one.

They may be moo to the Valley (get it?), but this shop is already making its mark…and ice cream.
Pop’s Malt Shoppe
Sure, the ice cream is great, but the best thing about Pop’s has to be the color changing spoons. The spoons are usually given to kids or kids at heart, if you ask nicely.
Premise Maid
Forty flavors of ice cream and the chocolate shop and bakery is right next door. Need we say more?
