Owner of C.B. Candles Chelsey Bruce turned what was once a therapeutic pandemic project into a high-quality, vegan and cruelty-free candle business. “At the onset of COVID-19, I was becoming increasingly aware of how many of the products we use every day contain chemicals and other toxic ingredients, so I liked the idea of making something that I know is natural and safe for my family and pets,” says Bruce. Now, C.B. Candles is full steam ahead, offering 100-percent soy, hand-poured candles and wax melts as well as custom scents, labels and designs. “If customers have a specific scent in mind that I do not carry, I can work with them to create that fragrance,” she says. “I am also happy to collaborate on creating signature candles and scents for businesses or special events.” Operating in Phillipsburg, NJ, nearly all materials used are sourced from other local businesses and all shipping materials are recyclable and biodegradable.
