Roey’s Paintbox Parties has a new location on the Allentown ArtsWalk, created by owner, instructor, illustrator, artist and children’s book author Roey Ebert. “Allentown is where my life story is. I was born here, married here, schooled here and taught here,” says Ebert. “I love the whole vibe of the downtown and especially the ArtsWalk. I am so thrilled to share this spot with my customers. We have so much fun during our painting parties and this new studio just feels like home.”
The fun doesn’t stop at her studio though. Ebert visits schools for painting parties, which allows her to combine her love of art and teaching. “I feel art gives me a tool to teach on so many levels. The colors and visual enrichment offer a vast array of benefits to everyone taking a class,” says Ebert. “Sharing your own art with children and watching them recreate it in their own unique way is such a fun experience for both the teacher and student, and allows you to see how each person or child is completely unique in their own thoughts and ideas, and their uniqueness should be embraced.”
