Left side of image is a piece of old paper overlaid onto old newspaper, with text descriptions of the program. Right side of image is a farm bureau vest, an Amazon worker's vest, and a lawn sign saying "keep Mount Bethel rural".
Each month, tune in to explore some of our favorite artifacts, delve into the overarching themes of our galleries, or get a sneak peek into the planning and design of an upcoming exhibit.
On January 29, 2025, join NCHGS’s Curator of Exhibitions, Tim Betz, as we discuss community comments around our current exhibit, Warehouse Valley: A Changing Landscape.
The Lehigh Valley is changing rapidly and has always been a place of social and industrial change. Populations grow and change. Industries shift, move, and develop. Roads first formed by the Lenape, then grown by European settlers, change and grow: from on-foot travel, to horses, to wagons, to eighteen-wheelers. Highways following paths that footsteps once trod. Warehouses and apartment complexes where farmland once was.
Join us for a community dialogue about our shared landscape and the ways that humans impact and live in it. We want to hear from you!
