Lehigh Valley Passport to History Weekend - Winter
Our quarterly Passport to History Weekends are a celebration of the people, places, and stories that bring local history to life.
For four seasonal weekends throughout the year, participating historic and cultural sites in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding counties will open their doors to the public with FREE tours, activities, and programs for visitors of all ages.
Join us for our Passport to History - Winter Weekend on Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26. Visit five historic sites in Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties including Horner's Cemetery, Kutztown Area Historical Society, Moravian Historical Society, the National Museum of Industrial History, and Whitehall Historical Preservation Society's Helfrich Springs Grist Mill.
Our January weekend features hands-on family activities, exhibitions and programs on the early days of radio, Moravian pleasure gardens, and photographs of the last operating anthracite mine in Wales. There will be a scavenger hunt, model trains running, and a cemetery tour that shares the history of Craig's Scotch-Irish Settlement, the oldest permanent settlement in the Lehigh Valley, and more.
