Tell us about the journey to opening Abode Home Decor in Nazareth.
In January 2020, my husband, Brian, and I decided to take the leap and open my dream store. We started by doing mostly online sales out of our dining room to our friends and family. From there, we grew by word of mouth and purchased a trailer that was decorated like a store so we could drive it to hostesses’ houses for parties with their friends. The need for a brick-and-mortar store came quickly, as our inventory took over every inch of our garage. In January of 2021, I was patronizing another store in town and mentioned I was looking for a space, and the shop owner pointed me right up the street to where we are located now. After renovations, our store opened in April of 2021.
How has the store been received by the community?
We have many wonderful and loyal customers that support us from all over the Lehigh Valley.

Describe the variety of offerings sold!
We carry items for every corner of your home—vases, Amish-made barn wood furniture, kitchen accents, wall décor and shelving, wonderful soy candles and gift items, too!
Is there one particular offering that just flies off the shelf?
We believe that all homedécor should be accompanied by a sense of humor. We have a large variety of quirky signs and hand towels that are largely popular with our shoppers.
How often can shoppers expect new offerings?
Abode Home Decor changes and updates inventory often; there is always something new.
What’s the overall vibe at the shop?
Abode is a laid-back shopping experience with personal attention included. We love helping our customers bring a vision for a space to life. We host a lot of great events at the store as well, such as Wine Wednesday and other seasonal events. Follow us on social media for more details!
