I had the occasion to go to a fun retail opening this past weekend in Easton. Yes, Easton! We are always so excited here when we hear that a bona fide retailer has made the “E” as in “A-B-E” their location of choice.
That’s just what Rich Lepowsky and Sandy D’Imperio did with the opening of The Denim Project at 140 Northampton Street. What a great little boutique this is, stocking some really unique labels you won’t find anywhere else in the Valley. If you are looking for premium denim like J Brand and love to find one of a kind accessories and cool shirts and blouses, you’ll want to check this place out. The best part is that this is a uni-sex boutique carrying men’s clothing, as well. And isn’t it about time that someone besides the mall has men’s clothes?
Talented, non-conformist designer and Easton resident Bibi Monnahan was also on-hand for the event. Monnahan created the interior space for the entrepreneurial couple who moved here from Manhattan. Her use of urban industrial fittings, pop art and saturated colors gives the place real panache.
I have to admit I did a little shopping that night and definitely plan on going back to do a little more. Afterward, the talented Ms. Monnahan and I had dinner at another notable Easton business, Sette Luna. We couldn’t help but think what a lovely evening we had-all in Downtown Easton. Yeah, Easton!
