This holiday season and beyond, consider venturing to Meadow & the Moon in Pen Argyl for all your gifting needs. Read on to hear from husband-and-wife owners Nick and Jessica Lebel about what you’ll find in store!
Q: Tell us about the journey to opening Meadow & the Moon!
Meadow & the Moon was born just over six years ago as a side business that we worked on at home during nights and weekends. At the time, we took on custom orders for small projects and gifts, such as charcuterie boards and serving trays, as well as toolboxes and stools for children. Nick, with over 16 years of carpentry experience, was able to incorporate his expertise, his appreciation for unique hardwoods and his abundance of creativity into these projects. We always envisioned that it would become something bigger. Thankfully, every year, it grew! With the endless support and loyalty of our family, friends and clients, we were able to bring our storefront of handmade pieces to life and also include my admiration for houseplants and fun home décor. It’s been an exciting journey and we feel this is only the beginning!
What can shoppers expect to find in store?
Our guests can expect to find unique gifts and home décor in store, including handmade wooden pieces, made exclusively by Meadow & the Moon, such as charcuterie boards, plant stands, propagation vases and blanket ladders. We also offer a wide variety of houseplants, air plants, pots and accessories, in addition to our hand-picked selections, including stainedglass pieces, straw bags, and locally made candles, essential oil diffusers, baked goods and merchandise. Every product is chosen with attention to detail and the intent to provide quality craftsmanship to our shoppers.
Is there anything a shopper might be surprised to find in store?
At Meadow & the Moon, we strive to accommodate and make our visitors feel at home. Upon arrival, we offer coffee or tea to sip and cookie samples to snack on as you shop. Guests might be surprised to discover that we have a kids' room for our little shoppers, complete with a chalkboard, blocks, coloring books and crayons to keep them occupied and included in the shopping experience. As a family business, we take pride in incorporating our children’s interests in our endeavors and love to share that with others.

Is there anything you’re looking forward to?
We have a few events in the works with local artists, bakers and charcuterie connoisseurs at the moment that we are very excited about! We are also really looking forward to our first holiday season in the store! We are hoping to offer a few festivities for everyone to enjoy.
What do you love about the store’s location in Pen Argyl?
We’ve really enjoyed being in Pen Argyl for many reasons! We feel we are in a great central location between the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, where we are easily accessible to those traveling in either direction. We are also within walking distance for many of our customers and other thriving businesses in the area whose support of our store has been very rewarding.
