Huma Usmani has been making beautiful custom wedding cakes that exceed all expectations for the past seven years, but it wasn’t always so intentional. “I sort of fell into the world of pastry by accident,” says Usmani. “I've always loved baking and creating desserts for family and friends, but never thought to pursue it professionally.”
After leaving the financial world and moving to Philadelphia, Usmani enrolled in The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. Now settled in her new Bethlehem location, Usmani strives to make “edible art” with her cakes at Cake as Canvas. “We want to be able to create a cake that is as unique as you are while not compromising on quality and service,” she says. “When you're ordering a wedding cake from Cake as Canvas, we will discuss your idea of a cake for your special occasion, create sketches for your design, provide sampling and finally create your dream cake.”
