A self-proclaimed science lab of doughnuts, Donerds Donuts of Jim Thorpe recently opened its second regional location in Bethlehem in August. The shop has many classic offerings as well as some gourmet options including cannoli, Nutella maple pecan, bacon maple, French toast, cinnamon roll, crème brûlée, pistachio raspberry cheesecake, Snickers, s’mores and more. “We called ourselves the mad scientists who are experimenting with different flavors and coming out with something unique,” share husband-and-wife owners Andrew Underwood and Annabel Figueroa. “We love science and we wanted to incorporate it into our business.” In addition to their 35 doughnut flavors, the eatery also offers a drink menu featuring specialty espresso drinks, nitro cold brew, matcha lattes, chai teas and more to pair with the tasty doughnuts.
