The Find It Friday series features our top five favorite finds of the week, ranging from dining & food news and people doing cool things to events and new businesses in and around the Lehigh Valley. Essentially, if it’s cool and we found it, we’re telling you about it.
This week, our Find It Friday series features sparkle maple syrup, a mobile movie theater, floral art, whimsy children’s pillows and baked-to-order cookies.

1. Sparkle Maple Syrup
Why settle for regular ‘ol maple syrup when you can have syrup that sparkles? This limited release syrup by Runamok Maple of Fairfax, Vermont, was created for the sole purpose of bringing a smile to your face as you’re enjoying its sweet goodness on your pancakes, apples, French toast or their suggested maple lemonade. It’s made with a food-safe pearlescent mica so the sparkles are tasteless and you get to enjoy their pure maple syrup at its best. You can find it at Highmark Farm Stand at the Easton Public Market.
2. Mobile Movie Theater
The Moving Picture Cinema (TMPC) is a retro-themed mobile movie theater that hosts indie films at unique venues throughout southeastern PA and beyond. The co-founders have years of theater experience under their belts prior to TMPC at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater and Renew Theaters of Doylestown. They’ve taken TMPC on the road and have hosted outdoor screenings at a variety of outdoor venues as well as drive-in experiences throughout the Valley and Philadelphia area, such as the Quakertown Farmers’ Market, Weyerbacher Brewing and Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle. They even offer private rentals if you want to host a screening in your backyard. They’re currently booking at reduced rates for spring 2021, so perhaps a professional grade movie night in your community park should be on the agenda?
3. Floral Art
Another beautiful Instagram we found ourselves scrolling through is Fenimore & Rutland. Owner Marly combines her love for paper and flowers by creating beautiful floral art, wreaths, arrangements and letterpress designs. In the summer months, she creates arrangements from her self-proclaimed fake floral farm and offers local deliveries or porch pick-ups. Her newest shop and website will be launching soon, but you can find her popping up at The Petersell 1808 Home Holiday Makers Market and Barn Sale tomorrow, December 5 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., where she’ll be selling her dried floral wreaths, calendars and other unique items.
4. Whimsy Children's Pillows
Paul Et Madeleine is known for their baby and children hand stitched wares with a French twist, but one of their cutest offerings is their French-inspired pillows in fairy-tale like shapes. They’re currently featuring cloud and star variations that your little one will just love. A website is in the works, but you can reach out to them via email at info@pauletmadeleine to place an order. Also, check out for their adorable face masks for adults and children, holiday pouches and reusable holiday gift bags.
5. Baked-To-Order Cookies
Our ears will always perk up at the mention of a homemade cookie and once we discovered La Madame Biscuit, we knew we needed to share her decadent treats with you. A Montreal transplant currently living in Bethlehem, this mama was striving for a cookie you couldn’t find anywhere in the Valley—and La Madame Biscuit was born. She bakes a variety of cookie combinations, but her holiday specialties are not to be missed. To name a few, she has The Nutcracker, a white hazelnut dough stuffed with Ferrero Roucher chocolate, and My Jolly Peppermint, a peppermint dough filled with peppermint, white chocolate and milk chocolate chips topped with crunchy peppermint candy and Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark. She also offers variety tins and gift boxes to give you a little taste of everything. International shipping is available for gifting, but lucky for us, local pick-ups are easily available.
