Brewers of Pennsylvania (BOP), the state’s official brewers guild, has recently released its Summer Beer Suggestions list—and a local brewery made the cut!
Fegley’s Brew Works, which has locations in Bethlehem and Allentown, was recognized for its Blueberry Belch. Each barrel of Blueberry Belch is made of 150 pounds of real fruit, tastes like blueberry, smells like blueberry and raspberry cobbler and boasts a copper-pink color. With an ABV of 4.2 percent and a light, refreshing taste, Fegley’s Blueberry Belch is the perfect summer brew.
“There’s nothing better than relaxing on a hot summer day with some of Pennsylvania’s finest craft beers,” said Dan LaBert, Executive Director of the Brewers of Pennsylvania. “The BOP’s 2017 Summer Beer Suggestions offer a variety of carefully crafted brews beer-aficionados and casual beer drinkers alike can enjoy. Pennsylvania continues to be a leader in the thriving craft beer industry, and we encourage those 21 and over in the Commonwealth to support their local craft brewers and take a trip to see what other professionals in the state are brewing up.”
Fegley’s was voted Best Local Brewery in Style’s 2017 Best of the Lehigh Valley competition, and, more specifically, their Blueberry Belch brew was voted Best Summer Ale at the Philadelphia Summer Ale Fest in 2011.
On July 13, Fegley’s Brew Works will be offering samples of the Blueberry Belch and HOP Explosion at our Best of the Lehigh Valley Celebration. Don’t forget to purchase your tickets!
