The Mimosa Flight at Union and Finch
Beer is cool and all, but Union and Finch decided to up its flight game with a creation that allows for endless champagne-and-juice pairing. Yep, that’s right, a mimosa flight. Standard flavor selections—orange, cranberry, pineapple and grapefruit—are always available, but this spring, look out for surprise infusions like raspberry, blueberry, citrus and pomegranate, which will be rotated weekly.
The flight is available any time but is, of course, most popular during brunch, which the restaurant offers Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owner of Union and Finch, Shahnaz Hanna recommends pairing the flight with the Croque Madame (sourdough bread, topped with fried egg, prosciutto, Gruyère and hollandaise, served with a side of greens), one of their most popular brunch dishes. “[It has] a vast flavor profile,” she explains.
That said, Hanna assures that one can’t go wrong with a mimosa flight and any of the newly expanded items on Union and Finch’s brunch menu. Complete with more than 15 items, there’s something for everybody. Craving a breakfast that resembles dessert? Opt for the sweet stack of pancakes, served with seasonal fruit, house-made whipped cream and bourbon butter and macadamia nuts.
